Birthday Party Makeup Tutorial | Real Techniques

Look and feel fabulous with a makeup look perfect for any wedding, birthday, graduation, formal, or any night out. Nic shows you in this tutorial how to get a party look for any occasion to celebrate Real Techniques® 5th birthday.

Get started with a light to medium coverage foundation using a dampened Miracle Complexion Sponge. Go with a lighter skin tone so the focus of this party look is the colorful eyes. Nic starts the eyes by roughly applying a colorful eye pencil. Use any color or go on trend with Nic using blue tones. Soften the edges of the color with a Domed Shadow Brush, it buffs away the seam to almost nothing. Add a soft, pale blue with the 203 Tapered Shadow Brush over the top of the eye, allowing the brush to do the work for you. Go in with the same brush using a darker blue this time. Line the lashes with a dark blue then blend slightly with the Shading Brush. Finish off the eyes by popping on lots of mascara on.

Using the 102 Triangle Concealer Brush, work in a concealer letting the brush fill in all the gaps of the skin. Powder the skin into place with the 100 Arched Powder Brush. Line the lips using a color with a little blue undertone to flatter the eyes. Fill in with lipstick and set in place using the Accent Brush. “Remember don’t chase the party, let it come to you.” – Nic

Happy Birthday Real Techniques & Congrats Sam & Nic on your success! It’s extremely hard in business, but especially in a flooded market such as cosmetics, to set your brand apart from the rest, much less outsell similar products/brands. You’ve managed to do both in half the time it takes most businesses to solidify their brand & product line in the market. The 1st 5 yrs of a fledgling business are usually spent just trying to get into the black. You two have managed to go global whilst accomplishing profitability w/out sacrificing product quality. Your success is a testament to your intelligence, wisdom & talents as makeup artists. Indeed, you both should be very proud of all that you’ve done in just 5 short yrs! Well done ladies. Cheers to another, (even more successful), 5 yrs @ Real Techniques…

Happy Birthday RT! Love this look, I can’t wear blue on the eyes because of my combination of skin/hair/eye colour but it looks amazing on you! As always of course.
Can I ask what mascara you used here? Was it a ysl one? Xx

The look is beautiful and happy birthday to Real Techniques, is it possible to conduct a brow tutorial without using brow stencils ? Mine are starting to grow a bit after losing them to chemotherapy and stencils make them look so weird and unnatural … Thank you
